Editorial standard

CSGOEmpire.help publishes independent explainers. The job is to be accurate to official documentation, clear about uncertainty, and explicit when a commercial relationship exists. We would rather leave a button name unnamed than invent one from an old screenshot.

Pages in the catalogue are written as reference, not as hype. House edges, wagering rules, KYC thresholds and fairness algorithms are attributed to Help Centre articles or on-site copy. Where those articles use examples, we treat the examples as illustrations, not as live guarantees.

Source selection

Primary sources, in order of preference:

• CSGOEmpire Help Centre
• Operator pages on csgoempire.com, including fairness and terms
• Steam Support FAQs for Guard, trade URLs and phishing
• Named help organisations for gambling harm (BeGambleAware, NCPG)

Affiliate blogs, unofficial wikis, leaked “strat” videos and anonymous Discord pins are not used as the basis for a factual claim. They can prompt us to go look at an official article. If the official article does not support the claim, we do not publish it.

Fact checking

Before a payments, fairness or XP figure is stated as current, it should be traceable to a Help Centre URL listed in that page’s sources. We check that the exclusion list is intact (match betting is not provably fair). We check that referral copy matches what we actually link: MAX50 and https://csgoempire.com/r/MAX50.

We do not log into player accounts to “confirm” a pending trade. We do not scrape CSGOEmpire for balances. Educational troubleshooting describes what official docs say to inspect (Steam history, pending trades), not a back-office view we do not have.

Updates when docs change

CSGOEmpire revises XP rates, instant-credit limits, fairness scripts and help articles. When we learn that an official page has changed, we update the corresponding explainer and the last-checked date where the catalogue has one. We do not claim a 24-hour SLA. A page can be wrong for a stretch of time after an upstream edit.

Version cutoffs that official help itself documents (for example case-opening methods before 18 April 2024) should be mentioned when we discuss verification, so readers do not apply a new recipe to an old open.

Corrections

If this site contradicts current official documentation, that is an error. Use contact with the page URL, the official URL, and what you believe is wrong. We correct facts; we do not negotiate coverage in exchange for a quieter affiliate disclosure.

Typos and broken internal links are also in scope. Account recovery, missing skins and KYC outcomes are not — those go to CSGOEmpire on-site support.
