What this page is (and is not)

Phishing around CSGOEmpire and Steam is usually social engineering: a page or person tries to make you log in, confirm a trade, or hand over a code. This article is for potential victims. It lists patterns to refuse. It does not provide instructions for building lures, cloning sites, or capturing sessions.

Steam’s primary public reference is Phishing and hijacked accounts. Guard setup is in the Steam Guard FAQ. The only CSGOEmpire product host this site recognises is csgoempire.com.

Warning signs for victims

Stop and switch to a bookmark if any of these appear:

• The hostname is not exactly csgoempire.com (extra words, extra hyphens, a different top-level domain, or a lookalike character).
• A search ad or social embed is doing the routing instead of a URL you typed.
• The page demands an immediate login to “keep a deposit,” “release a withdrawal,” or “avoid a ban.”
• Someone asks for a password, Steam Guard code, cookie, session token, or API key.
• The design looks like CSGOEmpire or Steam but the address bar does not match.

csgoempire.help is an independent guide site. It will not present a Steam login form. Referral signups using MAX50 still land on csgoempire.com via https://csgoempire.com/r/MAX50— check the host after you click.

Fake support

Real CSGOEmpire support is reached from the live site. Real Steam Support is reached from Steam’s help properties. A stranger who messages first, especially after a pending trade, is not a verified agent because they used a similar username or an “official” role colour.

Fake support often wants you to share a screen, install remote software, or paste a token “so we can credit the coins.” Refuse. Steam security lists the secrets nobody legitimate needs in chat.

Unexpected trades

P2P listings do create real Steam offers. The difference is origin: you started a deposit or withdrawal on csgoempire.com, and the offer matches that flow. An offer that appears after a DM, a “giveaway,” or a leaked trade URL is a warning, not a feature.

Do not confirm Guard prompts for items you did not intend to send. Auction windows (30 minutes) and regular listing windows (12 hours) apply to trades you already started in the marketplace — see trading. They are not a reason to accept a surprise offer.

What to do instead of clicking

   Do not log in from it. Do not “just check” the lookalike page with a real password.

   Type csgoempire.com or use a bookmark. For Steam account questions, open Steam Support from the client or help.steampowered.com.

   Compare what you see in-account

   Pending deposits, withdrawals, and trades should be visible on the official product if they exist. A DM cannot show you a trustworthy version of that list.

   If nothing is wrong, ignore the lure

   If something is wrong, use on-site support and the troubleshooting cluster rather than the person who created the urgency.

If you already interacted

Use the problem-oriented checklist at phishing issue. If logins, trades, or email resets look hijacked, continue with compromised account and Steam’s hijack FAQ. Change passwords only on official hosts.
