What linking is for
CSGOEmpire’s Counter-Strike marketplace is player-to-player. Items move with Steam trade offers, not with a site-owned bot inventory. Linking Steam tells the platform which Steam account owns the skins you might list or receive. Official deposit help also notes that new users may need to enter a trade URL so the site can fetch inventory.
Linking does not grant this website access to anything. CSGOEmpire.help cannot complete the connection for you, cannot “verify” a Steam session, and will never ask for a password, cookie, or API key. The only operator domain is csgoempire.com.
If you have not created an account yet, use the signup guide and referral code MAX50 first, then return here before you list skins.
Before you start
- Confirm the hostname is exactly csgoempire.com. Lookalike domains are covered in the phishing guide.
- Turn on Steam Guard, preferably the mobile authenticator. See Steam Guard and Steam’s own Guard FAQ.
- Know where your trade URL lives in Steam’s inventory privacy settings. Steam documents this in trade offers and trade URL.
- Do not start from a Discord DM, Telegram “support” chat, or a search ad. Type the official URL or use a bookmark.
How to link
CSGOEmpire’s live UI can change. The sequence below is the documented intent, not a pixel-perfect screenshot walkthrough. If a screen is missing, trust the official site over this article.
- 1
Open CSGOEmpire on the real domain
Go to https://csgoempire.com while already signed in, or complete login first. If you used a referral signup, confirm you still landed on that hostname.
- 2
Find the Steam connect or deposit-Steam flow
Skin deposits start at csgoempire.com/deposit/steam. The site typically prompts for Steam connection and, for new users, a trade URL before inventory appears.
- 3
Complete Steam’s own confirmation
If CSGOEmpire sends you through Steam’s login or identity prompt, finish that on Steam’s domain. Stop if the address bar is not a genuine Steam host. - 4
Paste a trade URL only on csgoempire.com
Official deposit help says new users may need a trade URL so inventory can be fetched. Copy it from Steam yourself. Do not accept a “trade URL” someone else generated. Details: trade URL guide.
- 5
Confirm inventory visibility, then stop if anything looks wrong
If items appear, linking succeeded enough to list. If they do not, do not keep retrying on a second site — use the troubleshooting page linked below.
Trade URL requirement
A Steam trade URL is a tokenised link that lets other people send you trade offers without adding you as a friend. CSGOEmpire’s deposit article treats it as a practical requirement for new users so the marketplace can see tradable inventory. It is not a password, but it is still sensitive: anyone who has it can send offers.
If your inventory privacy is locked down in a way Steam does not allow for offers, linking can appear to “work” while deposits still fail. Steam’s trade URL FAQ is the source for privacy and offer behaviour. This site does not document unpublished CSGOEmpire inventory filters.
After the accounts are connected
Linking is not a deposit. Listing items, auction versus direct withdraw-page placement, and Steam trade protection are covered in Steam trading and deposits. Withdrawals — browsing other users’ items, “online” sellers, and when coins leave your balance — are in the withdrawal guide.
Keep Steam Guard on. A linked account with a weak Steam lock is the usual way inventory disappears after a phishing incident, not because P2P “failed.” Read Steam security before you list high-value items.
If linking fails
Do not paste cookies into a “fix Steam link” form. Do not send Guard codes to anyone claiming to be support. Work through Steam won’t link: official URL, trade URL, Guard, browser, and then CSGOEmpire on-site support plus Steam Support if the Steam side is the blockage.
If you already clicked a fake connect page, treat it as a phishing incident and, if trades or logins look wrong, a compromised account situation.
