What this hub covers

CSGOEmpire is a gambling site that also runs a Counter-Strike skin marketplace. Coins are what you wager. Skins are Steam items until a player-to-player trade completes. This hub explains the CS2 ideas people use when they look at those items — rarity, wear, float — and how that meets CSGOEmpire’s documented P2P flow.

Rarity tiers (community knowledge)

Counter-Strike item rarity is a Valve presentation system, not a CSGOEmpire rulebook. Players still use it when they decide what to list. In common community language, weapon skins climb from consumer-grade through industrial, mil-spec, restricted, classified, and covert. Knives, gloves, and some special categories are often discussed as extraordinary-tier items. Those labels describe drop rarity in CS2, not a guaranteed Empire Coin amount.

Stickers, agents, and other inventory types follow their own rarity colour conventions. CSGOEmpire decides which categories are tradable on its marketplace; that list can change and is not reconstructed here. Rarity is also not luck on CSGOEmpire cases. Site cases are a separate product with a documented house edge and ticket-based fairness — see cases. Opening a CSGOEmpire case is not the same as unboxing a CS2 weapon case on Steam.

Wear and float

Exterior wear is the factory-new → minimal wear → field-tested → well-worn → battle-scarred scale printed on many CS2 skins. It is a named bucket. Float is a more precise 0–1 wear metric for that specific item instance. Lower float generally means a cleaner look within (and sometimes across) those buckets. Exact float boundaries for each name are community/CS2 knowledge; this site does not claim CSGOEmpire-specific unpublished float tables.

StatTrak, Souvenir, and pattern-based items (doppler phases, fade percentages, and similar) are additional attributes collectors care about. They can change what another player will pay in coins. They do not change P2P timers, Steam Guard, or trade protection. Do not assume a “covert FN” listing is safe to confirm without reading the actual Steam offer.

Inventory on Steam vs coins

Until you send a deposit trade, the skin is in Steam inventory. After a successful P2P deposit and site credit, you have Empire Coins (subject to instant-credit limits and later protection holds). Withdrawing spends coins and brings a different user’s item back to Steam when that trade completes. You cannot hold a knife “in CSGOEmpire storage” in the bot-warehouse sense official help rejects.

Tradability on Steam still applies: trade holds, untradable drops, and Guard restrictions are Steam rules. Linking is covered in Steam linking. If inventory does not appear, check privacy and trade URL before assuming the marketplace is down — Steam won’t link.

Deposits and withdrawals

Official flow: start deposits at csgoempire.com/deposit/steam. You may need a trade URL. You list items. At 6% or less versus CSGOEmpire’s documented pricing, the item goes to auction; more than 6% places it on the withdraw page for other users. Auction trades: 30 minutes to send and confirm. Regular listings: 12 hours.

Withdrawals: browse other users’ items. Official help treats “online” as activity in the last 10 minutes or a seller using a bot. Coins deduct after the item is received. Tracking after 7 days is documented because of Steam trade protection; disputes are described as available up to 48 hours after a reversal. Instant credit uses tiers 1–10 (tier 1 is 0; tiers 2–10 need minimum level 40; limit = tier limit + 50% of daily reward pool), with abuse and reversals punished.
